- Who I am
- Quaggan LLC, operated by Dan Ritchie. For anything on this page, write to info@quaggan.com.
- What I collect
- Only what you enter in the contact form: your name, email address, and optionally your company or website, your location, the service you are interested in, and whatever you write in the message box. There is no account, no login and no profile.
- Why
- To read your enquiry and reply to it, and if it turns into work, to scope and run that engagement. Nothing is used for marketing. There is no newsletter and no automated sequence.
- Legal basis
- Under the UK and EU GDPR, taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and my legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- Who else sees it
- The form is delivered by Formspree, which passes your message to my email and stores a copy in its own system. Your message then sits in my email provider’s servers like any other email. Those two are the only processors involved. Nothing is sold, shared or passed to anyone else.
- Where it goes
- Formspree is a US provider, so an enquiry sent from the UK or EU is transferred outside that area. Both providers operate under standard contractual clauses for those transfers.
- How long
- Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within twelve months. Where an engagement follows, records are kept as long as the business and tax rules that apply to it require, and no longer.
- Cookies
- This site sets no cookies unless you accept them. On your first visit a bar at the bottom of the page asks whether Google Analytics may run. If you decline, or ignore it, nothing from Google loads and no analytics cookie is set. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies that recognise your browser on later visits so repeat traffic is not double counted. You can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer, which also deletes the cookies already set.
- Analytics
- Where consent is given, Google Analytics records which pages are viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and which site or search referred it. IP addresses are truncated before storage. I use it to understand which pages are read, not to identify anyone, and there is no advertising, remarketing or profiling switched on. Google acts as a processor for this and operates under standard contractual clauses for transfers outside the UK and EU. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Fonts
- Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google and your IP address is visible to Google in the process. No cookie is set by this, and I receive nothing from it.
- Server logs
- My hosting provider keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, for security and diagnostics. I do not analyse them and they are not linked to anything you send.
- Your rights
- You can ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email info@quaggan.com and I will action it within a month. If you are in the UK or EU and you are not satisfied with how I have handled that, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
- Children
- This is a business-to-business site. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and I do not knowingly collect their data.
- Changes
- If this notice changes materially I will update the date below. There is no version history worth keeping yet.
